The workshop aims to present and show the results obtained during the experimental tests developed within the joint project to validate the HD MMC concept. Such concept provides low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) with reduced switching events (improving efficiency), without adding additional components but including an extra control block between the high level power control and low level module selection and voltage balancing functions.
The workshop includes not only presentations from the results and developments obtained within the project but also the presentations of other colleagues and stakeholders in the field as industry or research institutes. The agenda includes a presentation from CITCEA-UPC: "Fault-response of MMC converters"
