UPC award for a project about energy self sufficiency in Mali

The work 'Teli: a project of energy self-sufficiency' wins the 12th edition of the UPC Award in the category of undergraduate research.
The work attempts to answer the basic needs, mainly energetic, of the inhabitants of the village of Teli, in Mali. The project has taken into account a technical and environmental sustainable approach.
The finalist project in this category is 'The hydrogen economy', which presents a system of power from hydrogen to replace fossil fuels as gasoline and diesel currently used in automobiles, and serve as system for renewable energy storage. Additionally, the finalist student has created a hydrogen fuel cell to implement some considerations presented in the paper.
