Transition towards a new Energy Model

About one hundred people attended on 12th June the Session “Transition towards a new Energy Model“ hosted by the UPC in the Campus Nord. This event triggers a process of internal reflection, focusing on the university social mission in the field of technology.

Over the past 150 years, mankind has based its energy model in an increasing proportion of non-renewable resources. Currently, our future largely depends on the energy model we choose for the coming years.

The UPC is a reference in this field, with projects such as the International Campus of Excellence in Energy, the KIC InnoEnergy, and recognized teaching and research, thus, the university has organized this conference looking for the answer to the question "How can you contribute to this change to the energy transition?”.
