The UPC is the leading Spanish university in Horizon 2020 funding

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) is firmly placed as the Spanish university that receives most funding from the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (H2020). It is also the third research institution in Spain and the first in Catalonia in H2020 funding received. The UPC is currently undertaking 15 projects funded by other European programmes and receives a total of €38 million in European funding for research and innovation projects.
The UPC is currently undertaking 15 other projects funded by other European programmes, bringing the total volume of European funding to €38 million. Here, the UPC is particularly active in projects that have received some of the distinctions of the European Research Council, projects funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme and projects in the fields of information and communications technology, energy, space, environment and health.
