Simon joins Energy Campus

Simon Holding joins Energy Campus UPC to collaborate on research and training projects.

Simon Holding is an industrial group made up of 25 companies throughout the world, with its headquarters in Barcelona, in the business of producing and marketing low-voltage electrical materials, electronics, indoor lighting based on LED technology, industrial and urban lighting, voice and data transmission systems, domotics, security, access control and management, trunking and urban furniture.

Simon has recently joined Energy Campus to collaborate in research and training projects.
The agreement signed between both entities, UPC and Simon, falls in the framework of one of the Campus Energia work packages: efficiency and energy saving in areas such as transport, bioclimatic architecture, manufacture and ICT, power generation or communications infrastructure.

The UPC leads research and technological development in many of those areas, and it is interested in transferring esults to society by working with companies. Since 2006, energy saving projects have been implemented in all areas trhough the UPC Sustainable Plan 2015.
