Vilanova Campus awarded for its innovative energy management
Vilanova Campus has been awarded by the "Vigerència d'Economia, Contractació i Infraestructures" of the UPC for its participation in the Optimization of Energy Project (POE), a innovation project aimed at improving the UPC energy management by working with the university buildings community.
POE's goal is to reduce the building energy demand as much as possible, either through management, rationalization and reorganization measures, or by fostering a saving culture among the building community. This will contribute to meet the objectives of the economic feasibility Plan: reduce energy consumption by 25% in 2014.
