New auditorium CUV-FOOT

New auditorium for the University Vision Centre (CUV) of the School of Optics and Optometry (FOOT). The hall is a multipurpose space to host academic, educational or institutional events that can seat 103 people.
The new auditorium has been designed under standards of maximum functionality for all users. People who use wheelchairs or with reduced mobility now have an area equipped with an access ramp. In addition, all seats have plugs and tables to make it easier work with electronic devices and the internet connection. The table chair is also fully equipped with connections for both laptops and audio devices.
The hall has a new cockpit (technical control system) and an area to allocate simultaneous translation devices, both elements designed to be power efficient.
This project has received funding from the Campus of International Excellence Programme of the Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deportes. It falls within the framework of the Campus Energy activities to improve energy efficiency in the field of adaptation to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The new auditorim has also been funded by the companies from the Board of the Terrassa School of Optics and Optometry (FOOT), and specially sponsored by General Óptica, Ciba Visión, Medop, and the School itself.
