LIVING LAB LOW3 goes global!

May 10, 2013

The Virtual Living Lab Course for Sustainable Housing and Lifestyle allows students to learn about the main aspects and indicators of environmental impact related to our way of living. Key concepts and technologies will be fully understood after the course and indicators will allow them to analyze their own profile as well as compare situations in different geographical and cultural backgrounds.

This course allows learning about sustainability through a mixture of real and virtual tools and activities linked to our real world, and at the same time to a global virtual community of learners.

Starts with a personal profile definition, continues with the theory modules and their assessment, followed by a virtual visit to Living Lab LOW3 in accordance with a practical exercise. These exercises will be linked to each student’s own living environment, e.g. regarding the energy consumption of their home or their individual mobility pattern. The module ends with sharing individual results and collaborative exercises to analyze and evaluate the obtained results and to co-create new knowledge.
