May 03, 2013
ETSEIB Motorsport is a team of 35 engineering students of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The team has set out on the mission to design and build a formula race car.
This season ETSEIB Motorsport is attending to Formula Student competitions with its sixth prototype, the CAT06e, which is the 2nd electric vehicle designed in the UPC. CAT06e is taking to the limit the main components of his predecessor, the CAT05e, like the powertrain or the self-designed monocoque. The team expects to gain competitiveness which will lead to a climb in the fs-world.org ranking.
The team wants to finish the formula car's manufacturing with guarantees in order to participate in the competitions hold at Hockenheimring (Formula Student Germany), Autodromo di Varano (Formula SAE Italy) and Circuit de Catalunya, Montmeló (Formula Student Spain), three of the main competitions in Europe.
