50 years of ETSEIB building and energy efficiency improvements
The building that hosts the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona (ETSEIB) turns 50 this year, and to celebrate the anniversary, the School has organised a conference series and an exhibition. Also, as part of the activity programme, the ETSEIB opens brand new spaces.
The ETSEIB recently completed a number of improvements in the basement of the L Building aimed at creating teaching friendly classrooms & labs (192m2) and introducing energy efficiency elements for the Department of Electrical Engineering.

Energy efficiency improvements include:
- Skylights to increase natural light
- Detectors of presence
- Heat recovery
- Automatic climate system
- Lighting tele-management system
