BSC to coordinate a project to improve the efficiency of the energy sector
Feb 29, 2016
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center-National Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) research institution linked to the Universitat Politènica de Catalunya (UPC), coordinates the project for Energy High Performance Computing (HPC4E), which investigates to improve efficiency of the energy sector through the high-performance computing.
The aim of HPC4E is to generate knowledge and technologies needed to perform large-scale simulations of important challenges for different energies: wind energy production, biogas combustion systems and geophysical exploration of oil and gas reserves, making the maximum potential will be the next generation of supercomputers.
