An ecological prototype for Torre Baró

Torre Baró area, located in the north end of the city, is being studied by a large group of students from five schools of architecture from Barcelona.

Students from the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB), the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallès (ETSAV), the Escola d’Arquitectura de La Salle, the Escola d’Arquitectura de la Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) and the Institut d’Arquitectura Avançada de Catalunya (IAAC) are involved in the "Prototips d'Arquitectura de Barcelona" Programme aimed at the construction of an energy self-sufficient building in Escolapi Càncer street.

The building will house equipment for the neighbourhood and 12 rooms for students.
