Agreement signed with National Instruments to support newly created firms

May 02, 2011

Last February, National Instruments (NI) and Parc UPC reached an agreement by which the former offers a program called NI-PI to support newly created TBFs located in incubators.

This program provides NI Software and Hardware for these companies and represents a value-added service that Park UPC offers to the TBFs located in its facilities and for which the use of this equipment is of great worth in terms of activity and product development.

Since the launch of the program, two firms have already joined it: On-Sun Systems, this company is commercializing a disruptive solar concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) technology, and COSINGO, hosted in the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) and devoted to the same field. Both are currently located in the Baix Llobregat node of Campus Energia.

NI program was officially launched on the NIDays event, held on 10th march in Barcelona,
where Parc UPC had the opportunity to present itself to the companies attending the Technology Forum.

The NI-PI program is open to all companies based in Parc UPC premises.
