Rubi and UPC agree to develop an energy management model
The City Council of Rubi and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) have signed a two-year collaborative agreement to work on a model for sustainable energy management.
The agreement is the starting point of a strategic alliance to set a medium and long term cooperation for the development of a urban scale model to be apply on industry, business, trade and domestic environments.
The new model will entail:

- public and private savings,
- increasing the competitivity of Rubi area companies (by reducing energy costs and improving its image through the use of more sustainable technologies and processes),
- training professionals (from universities and companies) in energy technologies.
