12,000€ saved on Campus electricity bill in two months

The awareness and involvement of staff and students from Terrassa in July and August have led to a save of 111,694kW/h, compared to the same period last year. This energy saving is equivalent to 11,694€ and 41,327kg of CO2. This data begins the campaign 'Si no hi ets, desconnecta!", aimed at saving the 15% of electricity on Campus.

The Energy Management System implemented (SIRENA), which monitors the electricity consumption, has allowed to analyze, building by building, the evolution of the electricity bill. By means of SIRENA website, everybody will be able to follow up on a daily basis, what is the evolution of the electricity consumption and, how through collective action the objective to reach a 15% saving is achieved.
