The (e)co project will be introduced on 7th Feb by a team of students from the School of Architecture ETSAV-UPC BarcelonaTech. This new model of low cost solar home, self-sufficient and based on the principles of zero footprint and zero economic footprint, is an alternative house for the future in the Mediterranean. The house is the only Catalan project and one of the 21 european projects to compete in the Solar Decathlon 2012. The house is also the most economical proposal of the event.
