Alstom renews the Chair in Innovation in Rail Technology and Clean Energy

The Chair in Innovation in Rail Technology and Clean Energy will expand the collaboration areas between Alstom and UPC BarcelonaTech and will launch new initiatives and research lines.
Alstom and UPC BarcelonaTech have renewed the agreement of collaboration that both entities held through the Chair for Innovation in Rail and Clean Energy Technologies. The purpose of this agreement is to develope a technology platform for conducting training, research and knowledge transfer, enabling the the quick and reliable incorporation of technological and management innovations to Alstom products. Alstom will allocate 100,000 Euros to this educational project that began in 2008 aimed at UPC engineering students.
In particular, Alstom will finance a large number of educational activities including joint projects between universities and enterprises, as well as a call for innovation awards for final year projects on railway technology and clean energies. In addition, the Chair collaborates in the training programs through the participation of professionals from Alstom who teach different subjects.
