The UPC is the leading institution in Catalonia in H2020 projects
The UPC ranks the first position in Catalonia and the third in Spain in H2020 project participation. Horizon 2020 is the European research programme that since October has taken over the FP7, the European Union's Research and Innovation funding programme.
According to data published in April by the European Union Open Data Portal regarding the 2,400 projects awarded to date by the H2020 programme, the UPC is listed with 16 projects (currently the figure is 28 projects), 7 of them as coordinator in the fields of ICT, telemedicine, robotics, mineral resources, energy and textile engineering. Also, one of them, in the field of ICT, is a Consolider Grant from the European Research Council.
