Two new charging stations on Campus Nord
Access to electricity is an increasingly necessity present in our lives, also on college campuses.
As part of the 1st CampusLab Day on energy efficiency and energy saving, last tuesday the UPC inaugurated on Campus Nord two electric charging stations to meet different needs: a charging station for electric vehicles and a solar totem to charge mobile and similar devices.
EV charging station
Located in the northern area of Campus Nord' parking lot, the new station has been installed by Simon as part of an experimental project on electric charging.
Solar totem
Located right next to the Rector Gabriel Ferrater Library, the solar totem is intended for students who have an urgent need to charge their phones or tablets. The eco charger works independently with PV energy and has different connection formats to charge devices. The system has been installed by GreenSolution and has been manufactured in Catalonia.
