New lubrication system patented by UPC

Microtech Lab researchers, from UPC Campus Terrassa, have patented MicroLubGear, a novel technology that avoids energy generation loses and lubricates the pitch at 0º position. Microlubgear – combined with a right Automatic Lubrication System – lubricates the tooth in contact while the wind turbine operates and the pitch system is working.

The project is funded by KIC InnoEnergy and the patent system will be exploited by GT-Rivieres LINCOLN, Laulagun Klueber Bearings and Lubrication.
