Barcelona Ciutat Intel·ligent (Smart City)
UPC BarcelonaTech is one of the partners of this initiative coordinated by Abertis Telecom.
Smart Barcelona project aims to define, design and develop a reference model of a network management platform and sensor data for a Smart City and finally validate it in a major city such as Barcelona, with the ultimate goal of being able to adopt this model to any other city around the world.
Within the framework of this project, the spanish division of the NY based multinational Urban Green Energy, UGE Iberia, has installed a mini aerogenerator in the Olimpic Port of Barcelona with a EV charging station.
