Biogas is a fuel obtained through processes of degradation of organic matter of animal and plant origin under anaerobic conditions. This process of converting waste into an energy resource has begun to develop in some countries in Europe and today is beginning its implementation in Spain.
In the first part of the seminar, the processes of concentration and purification or the upgrading of biogas, the thermochemical gasification of biomass and the production of biomethane from synthesis gas is described.
The second part of the seminar addresses practical aspects of obtaining and using biogas in Catalunya and its contribution (via injection) to the overall existing natural gas network
